We wish to encourage you to slow down from your fast paced life and
rediscover yourself and reconnect with nature here at Dogwood
Mountain Lodge.
The
majority of the furniture in our home has been hand crafted by us
during the past year while our home was being constructed. We find
it so refreshing and fulfilling to find old wood and view it as a
piece of art waiting to be discovered.
As
you hike in the woods perhaps now you too will also be mesmerized by
the possibilities of nature’s gift to us.

Dogwood Mountain Decor
Unique hand crafted Wood Turned Art and Reclaimed Barnwood Furniture/Décor. We find it so refreshing and fulfilling to find old wood and view it as a piece of art waiting to be discovered. Perhaps it will become a turned wooden bowl or vessel or a special piece of furniture.

Our unique, one of a kind, handcrafted, rustic barnwood furniture
is made from an 100 year old barn from
Cullman,
Alabama.
We took this barn down with lots of TLC (not torn down), so the
wood may live again with a new purpose, as barnwood furniture.

|
| |
|
| We
also incorporated remnants from the Spirit
of South Carolina which is a pilot schooner reminiscent of the
Frances Elizabeth built in 1879.
|

|
|
Mount
laurel and rhododendron which are native to
Western
North Carolina
were used as intriguing furniture accents.
